I had a middle school student fall into some trouble. At first he denied what had happened, but as other educators spoke with him, and dug deeper, he admitted to being at fault. 👏 I had to come up with a way for him to feel comfortable talking things through. What I decided was to provide him with the opportunity to create a slideshow while spending the day in ISS. I visited him in reflection and asked him if he had the chance to do things differently, would he? That day, he went home and confided in his mom. She must have had a heart to heart conversation with him because the next day he decided to open up and accept his mistakes.
